9/20/16 According to Sven Berg writing for the Idaho Statesman… Boise has three Downtown hotels are under construction — one on Bannock Street between 10th and 11th streets and two on the corner of Myrtle Street and Capitol Boulevard. Major Downtown developer Gardner Co., has now proposed another hotel on the lot between 11th, 13th, Myrtle and Front streets. Clay Carley, another Downtown developer, wants to build a hotel on the north side of Front Street between 5th and 6th streets. Burton Hotel Group of Tulsa, Okla., is also proposing a Boise hotel. This one, a four-story Comfort Inn, would not be Downtown. It would be near the airport at 3625 Elder St. — just north of Interstate 84 and west of Vista Avenue.
